LEVITE

A worship team that functions in an intercessory/watchman role, for the base, local community and Scotland, and leads others into worship, facilitating and releasing the prophetic and other gifts of the spirit.

Some of the key aims encompassed within this vision are as follows;

To stimulate worship and intercession in the base, local community, and wider Scotland. In the long term the desire is to be part of fostering true unity to establish 24hr intercession and worship, although this will take time and co-operation, so it is a long term goal. In the short term, we will lead intercession/worship times in the above mentioned spheres, seeking to practically disciple and stimulate others to step out more in intercession and worship. Discipleship may mean bringing individuals alongside the team at various times, and also making time to teach and practically train others in intercession/worship.

This team will be part of an 'internship track' at the YWAM Seamill base, and those who are part of this team will be part of the base internship program. This will commit them to one day of input where they are invested into by the base, and one day of serving. The other three days of the week will be given over to the worship team. Obviously within the base there will be a regular incoming of young people who will be able to glean at different levels from this team, but as already stated, this team will also go out, ministering into local community and wider Scotland, what God has given us to share in regards to worship and intercession.

To function in a watchman role, listening, interceding for and communicating to the body and leadership what God shares. We expect this to mostly pertain to the base, local community, and wider Scotland. However it is understood that we are one part of a larger body, of a wide world, and although we feel a call to focus on these areas, if God emphasises something else for intercession for a time or a season, we will respond

This team aims to release new songs, songs that reflect the journey that God is taking us on, and His heart for Scotland. It is truly felt that these will flow out of the intercession times. A great desire is that this team would create the space for God to move prophetically, to release gifitings, to do healings and miracles, to bring us into a greater revelation of Himself, to display His Glory. We understand that much of that will involve God undoing, moulding and releasing us.

This team wants to be a witness for the lost for Him. Much of that will be through worship/music, and will be one of the ways we minister to local community and wider Scotland. At the level we are released to, we aim to witness through music/worship, but we will also be willing to minister evangelistically in other ways in community and Scotland.

Within the team there will be a great thrust towards working together and functioning as a team. It is hoped that what will come forth from that will be greater freedom, development of individual giftings, and a unity that is pleasing to God. The aim is that this initial team will not be it, but that this team will grow and beget another team. Then at the right time, there can be a releasing of some individuals to go on to other things, and some to be a continuation at the base as a team who takes on the watchman worship role, fulfilling the aims that have been outlined above.

Why is it needed?

I believe it is a crucial time in Scotland, a time when God is about to do more than many of us have ever seen. It's important that we spend time before His throne listening to His heart and praying for this nation. It's also important that we learn to feast on the bread of His presence, for that is where our sustenance comes from. I truly believe we need to learn how to do that, to really satisfy ourselves with him, and learn how to truly worship Him. We want to make such a place for Him, that the lost will be drawn by His presence.

I believe He is calling us to lay a foundation of intercession and worship for what he wants to do in these days, in our lives and in the lives of others.

The Commitment Level

Every core team member will make an initial two year commitment to the base and the team. Each core team member will need to raise enough support for all their personal needs, in addition to a measure of support to enable the functioning of the team i.e transportation costs, reading materials, tithe etc.
