We are called to live in a way that mirrors the life of Jesus (1 John 2:6.) Jesus not only made a way for the divine justice of redemption and salvation, he also clearly cared about the well-being of socially poor people – people who did not have social justice.
The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free. Luke 4:18-19
Over the last few years God has been showing us His heart for the oppressed, for those who are trapped in cycles of poverty, violence, sexual exploitation and other forms of modern day slavery. We have run a couple of Justice focused DTS’s that have built on this awareness and impact of seeing some the horrors in our world today. From this basis we now have this team that seeks God to bring His light in to the darkness.
To seek God’s heart for justice, letting His redemptive love for the oppressed flow through us to show them hope and compassion.
To fulfil the mission God’s given us, we are committed to these values:
– Having a foundation of biblical justice
– Educating ourselves and others on social injustices
