Living at Seamill was one of the greatest experiences of my life. Being surrounded 24/7 by people who are always willing to listen to you and talk was amazing. When they say that Seamill is "a discipling community" they aren't kidding. Even sharing a room with six other guys, while that sounds terrible, was one of the greatest experiences I've ever had. As a result of the Seamill community I've met the most amazing people and made some of the best friends I've ever had.

I came into the DTS realising that I needed to find a way of developing a relationship with the Lord that would be unshakeable by events, one which would grow and deepen even when challenged by people and circumstance. The DTS gave me that depth of relationship with God. I came to know him for the first time really as a father, as someone I could trust. I had a wonderful assurance that I am God's son and that He loves me as a son. I saw more of His goodness and His love and His care for me than I had ever before.
The base at Seamill was great. The location was quite inspiring, just several hundred metres from the beach with a view over to the Isle of Arran. The building itself was huge, so I could always find a quiet corner when I needed it! Best of all were the people though. There were quite a lot of interns living on the base. They had done DTS's over the past several years and had came back to work- they were friendly and open and would really disciple you when you needed it. I feel blessed by the leaders of the school. I don't think we could have had a group of leaders who could have better modelled what the Christian walk really is.
